Green Tara

Description

Green Tara is regarded as spritual consort of Amoogasiddhi, the Dhyani Buddha. Green Tara is often depicted in a posture of ease with right leg extended, signifying her readiness to spring into action. The left leg is folded in the contemplative position on the lotus pedestal, shows here remaining in meditation: her dangling right footindicates that she so acts for the benefit of all beings. the two together thus symbolizing the integration of wisdom and art.
